One of our key vision points for fulfilling our mission is to supplement our radio programs with ministry activities that lead people forward in discipleship and leadership training. Our development of a radio based leadership training program in Zimbabwe is an outgrowth of this vision. To help initiate this new program The Tide will be conducting a Leader to Leader workshop for pastors in Zimbabwe in August of this year. The workshop will be held at Wanezi Mission near Filabusi in south west Zimbabwe. A teaching team will be travelling from North America to Zimbabwe to resource pastors from throughout Zimbabwe. The goals of this event are to;
1. Introduce pastors to the radio based leadership training program.
2. Help pastors develop their spiritual gifts and calling through solid Biblical teaching.
3. Foster a spirit of unity by providing the opportunity for pastors from across
Zimbabwe to network together and build relationships with one another.
4. Provide a forum for mutually beneficial interaction between ministry leaders
in Zimbabwe and North America.
In addition to sponsoring the workshop we have committed to meet the cost of transport for each pastor to attend the workshop and to care for their food and lodging at Wanezi mission. We invite you to help sponsor this event by contributing towards the cost of enabling a Zimbabwean pastor to participate in this workshop. Your contribution of $67.00 will cover the cost to transpot one Zimbabwean pastor to and from the workshop and will also cover the cost of food and lodging for the pastor for the duration of the workshop. Due to current economic conditions in Zimbabwe many of these pastors are surviving on one meal each day, and without your help they will be unable to afford the bus fare to travel to and from Wanezi. Please consider what you can do to help us get them to the seminar and feed them three good meals a day while also feeding them spiritually.
