In 1983 the Gospel Tide Broadcasting Association began reaching out to the Ndebele people of Zimbabwe through a daily radio broadcast.  This program “Amagugu Evangeli” is the only one of our programs throughout the world that is aired 5 days a week.  There are over one and a half million Ndebele people in Zimbabwe, and because Amagugu Evangeli is broadcast through Trans World Radio out of Manzini, Swaziland, it reaches into other countries like Botswana, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa and Zambia, so that Ndebele speaking people who have moved into these countries can also hear this program.  Although this program is broadcast from Swaziland, it is produced in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe where we have an office and a recording studio.  The population of Bulawayo is primarily Ndebele.  There are numerous churches in the city and our director in Zimbabwe calls on some of those ministers to provide messages for the programs.  This program, consisting of a message and music, is especially appreciated by the rural people in Zimbabwe, many of whom do not have churches to attend, or must walk very long distances to a church.  Even though Zimbabwe has been fairly extensively evangelized there are still many who need to hear the gospel message, and many more who are hungry to learn more about Jesus Christ.
